Default bypass automatic leveling headlight

2014 Japan built rx350, unknowingly bought Canada built headlights w/o automatic leveling, would like a solution to eliminate message in dash

Re-sell those headlights and buy the proper ones may be the best solution. Please advise what you took out that was Original Equipment and what you bought.
It appears you took out the self leveling HID headlights (or did it come with Halogens?) and installed some that do not have that feature? I thought all HID were automatic leveling. Or did you get something else?

they are zenon low beam halogen high, my understanding is that Canada built can come either way

Have you tried turning off the AFS function with the steering wheel controls. Turning the system off might eliminate the warning message. I recall someone else saying it does, but in their case the AFS was not working properly, not missing completely.

upon further investigation, all HID headlights are adaptive, I must have a broken wire in the harness

Not true. My 2015 with HID are not adaptive. They are self leveling but not adaptive.
