Default 2011 RX 450H high mile big price ?

so i am looking at a 2013 RX450H AWD it seems to have most of all the options avaialbel from what i think from back in 2011 for the RX450h

it has 129k on it the price the dealership has it at is just a few dollars under 16k i understand that with the options this has it was somewhere around 46k new
but im wondering if it really is holding a value and worth it to get it with the miles it has on it for the price it is.

As with any shopping -- what are the comps like? What do pricing guides tell you?

If that was sold by Lexus dealer with CPO included, that would be good price. Not many nice used hybrids are around. When I traded in my 2015 one, it was gone in less than two days.

With that mileage on a 5-year-old car, it is hard to figure if the price is right. One way to look at it is...how many more miles can I expect to get from this car without major problems? Then, how many miles can I expect to get without similar issues from another comparable car priced at $16K? Answer...there are none.

THIS CAR BOOKS FOR OVER $19K FROM A DEALER, JUST IN GOOD CONDITION!! If you have not bought it yet, you are likely too late.

My, then bought brand new, 2013 RX450h LOADED was $56+K on the spec sheet on the window OFFICIALLY from Lexus HQ AND was INDEED MADE IN JAPAN (At least that is what it says). The last year these are MADE IN JAPAN. There WERE NOT ANY DEALER ADD ON'S.

NO, I DID NOT PAY what the MSRP/SPEC sheet price. I paid FAR LESS bc this LOADED RX450h sat on the dealership lot for a long time (priced at the top of the range due to all options).

Since we tend to keep our vehicles a looooong time , we figured we get a FULLY LOADED version.

Very happy with it. No complaints.

So true. These RX, HYBRIDS OR NOT, tend to go quickly.

I would SERIOUSLY recommend an EXPERT PrePurchase inspection by an unrelated Lexus/Toyota dealership/trusty Indy.

The hybrid batteries cost around $3500 to install and replace (some places less, like in SoCal). And they tend to last to 300+K mikes. Just ask the taxi drivers in and around LAX airport or any major airports/metro areas. I think it's the YEARS, NOT SO MUCH MILEAGE that wears out the hybrid batteries. Also HOT HUMID weather is harder on the hybrid batteries versus COLD weather.

If it's made in Japan, it has higher chance to go forever.
As it's a hybrid, one test that MUST, MUST be done, is for the hybrid battery to be tested for cells state of charge. Each and single one of them. Personally, mileage is actually not that high for RX and MIJ one. But, as it's a hybrid, battery needs to be scoped like lunar module part. I'd also check 12V one, as that wil be the first one to go out of two. It's a deep cycle battery, there is specail test for them. Or, simply make it a purchase point to have NEW OEM installed. Not excide, nothing else. OEM Panasonic DC only.
