It does not work anymore, when I command the opening or the shutdown of the tailgate, either through the FOB, or the pushbutton on the tailgate, I hear two chimes, and nothing happen. No messages are displayed on my RX instrumentation. Is it a failure of the tailgate motor drive?

When you try to open manually, does the hatch seem balanced (very slight effort) to move it up or down? If it is not balanced, then the problem can be with the hinge or most likely the struts.

The motor is supposed to quit when extra effort is required [to prevent injury or damage].

Open the glove box and find auto hatch disable button in the left top corner...
