Default "Sport mode" activated by default?

Can the sport mode be programmed as standard?, Programmed by the dealer? (RX450h F-Sport 2013).
I cannot save gasoline with the economy and It's just more comfortable with the sport mode, The vehicle reacts much better, better acceleration, the engine reacts as exactly as I want it. I do not want to activate each time on the steering-wheel this Function.

I do not think that is possible, having had 2 Lexus hybrids. I would just hit sport mode when driving, and still do.
You may want to post in the hybrid sub-forum to see if a fellow hybrid owner has more data.

We have a 2013 RX450h "F Sports appearance package". (2013 RX450h technically did not have "FSports"). To keep it in SPORT as I recall it can not be done and each time you shut off the engine it goes back to either normal or eco as I recall. Anyone finding this different?

I read that if vehicles could be started in a default "Sport" mode then they would be tested for the EPA/CAFE
ratings in that mode...manufacturers would not want those ratings published would they? What is cool about
the Sport Mode setting in Lexus/Toyota Hybrids is that the normal 500v DC supplied to the Motor/Generator in
ECO and Normal mode is changed to 650v DC. Greater torque and response as we have all experienced.

Actually only US version of 2013 RX450h did not have F-Sport. It did have 2013 RX450h F-Sport in Asia and Europe.

I recall reading about the Sport mode or Power mode increased voltage in car reviews of various Lexus hybrids.

I recall reading that the a/c voltage was lowered when in ECO; but the thought that there'd be increased performance in Sport vs ECO and Normal (or whatever the middle one is called) is kind of exciting.

Sport is too "rubber band-like" for me in normal driving; however I like the "squirt" when in congested high-speed traffic.

Yes, I'm in the US OF A.

BTW, overseas Asia Lexus vehicles cost a lot more, but better equipped.

"The 2013 RX 450h includes a new Sport mode that changes the steering effort, throttle mapping and transmission shifting.".

No particular "specs" on these websites though.

Sincere thanks for the effort; but while I admit I didn't read every period and apostrophe, I didn't see anything about extra voltage (or power) when in Sport mode.

I agree that the 'feel' in Sport is more responsive; but from everything I've read, there's 295 HP available in each of the three modes (ECO, Normal, Sport) - and/but that when in ECO, the system favors engine-off; and the A/C has reduced capacity due to lower voltage being sent to the Compressor (with resultant reduced efficiency).

Did I overlook something in your post?

Thank you

In this interview with the CT200h chief engineer he says the voltage increases from 500 to 650 in sport mode. The CT200h has the Prius engine. However, I wonder if all Lexus hybrid vehicles have similar set ups https://lexusenthusiast.com/2010/04/...hief-engineer/

My Australian spec RX450h also does not retain the "Sport Mode" after turning off the ignition. However, it "remembers" to leave Eco Mode enabled after a shutdown.

If the voltage delivery from the traction battery is upped whilst in Sport Mode, I wonder if this has a long term effect of reducing the life of the battery, as it is asked to do more....

I do like the enhanced responsiveness of Sport Mode - it seems to drive more like an RX350, in terms of responsiveness. I still don't understand how an RX450h can have faster 0-60 mile time than the RX350, as the tip in from standing start is so leisurely all the time. But I digress, because even "normal mode" makes me drive far more sedately and smoothly, and ultimately this saves fuel.
