Radio/CD turns off for no reason
My radio on my 2011 Lexus 450H has been great until this past week. I was listening to a CD and the power just turned off. I could not advance to another CD or listen to the radio. Later, the radio came back on, but I'm afraid to put the CDs back in for fear I won't get them back. I know it is getting power, even when not playing as when I turn the volume up, I can hear the rushing air sound getting louder. Any ideas?

Try other sources too like the Bluetooth.
This will help in narrowing down a common thing like mute (etc) vs actual device.
I am not sure about gremlins in the 3rd gen, but at times the total random unexplained stuff can be eliminated by disconnecting the battery for about 20 mins.

There are few things which get partial reset when you turn ignition from off to on.
With so much electronics, there are times when you have shutdown everything [some stuff remains in ROMS and EEPROMS] but everything else needs to be wiped clean.

This is currently happening to my 2010 RX350, it has normalized a bit but if I hit a bump it goes crazy. My dealership quoted me $500-1600 to repair and if that didn't work it's $9000 for a new radio. Hoping I can find some useful solutions on here.

Finding a used unit on E-bay would be your best option.
