hi there, great site, I could use a little help. the center control in my 2015 RX was ripped out, it's a non Nav version, I see where the wires connect to the white part, anyone know how I could put this back without a dealer visit?
It is amazing that the wires were pulled out of the nylon connector. Usually one needs a special tool to release the terminal out of the connector.
Here is what I suggest.
1. Release/disconnect the white nylon connector from the yellow connector.
2. Figure out where each of the 6 wires go into the holes of the white connector.
To figure out the right slot for the wires you need a circuit/wiring diagram. TIS [online Lexus/Toyota] can be used. Be careful as the views are typically from the connector side and not the back end side [left and right changes]. Dont take my word but read the fine print to make sure.
Thank you Salim, greatly appreciated! If anyone has the time to take a picture of theirs and post I would be one happy guy, o don't want to pay dealer rates to get this fixed.
You could always pay $15 for a day or two of access to TIS and grab all the manuals you need from Toyota. http://www.techinfo.toyota.com
I tried the demo and I walked away with the impression that the power of the tool was in using it as links to needed spot instantly. The bound manuals are a resource while the soft version is more interactive.
Any one tried dumping the page by page?
First gen had 2 volume, 1 electrical and 1 transmission. I just bought vol2 which covered most mechanical stuff.

I haven't gotten a chance to register yet. However, I had a hard copy and a soft copy (PDFs) of wiring diagrams for my IS300. Software is way easier to navigate and print a page or two as needed. And, of course, the search option works.
So I paid for the TIS pages but having a hard time finding the wiring diagram for the center controller that was ripped out, any tips on what I need to look for?
If you're not able to secure old pins in the connector, one trick I read about is to hot-glue them in place once you put everything in one piece (obviously from the back of the connector).
I have typed in part numbers, codes, words and I'm not getting a diagram that shows the connector wires. I guess I will have to find a non nav RC and pull the controller and take a picture of the wires.
