Default Back quarter panel seam gap.

Attached is a photo of a gap in my rear quarter panel near the trunk. Any idea how this could happen and if I should be concerned. No damages nor accidents to the vehicle. Thank you in advance. 2010 RX 350.

Kathie, there was an issue with front bumper gaps on early RXs. More details here. It might be something simple like replacing a bad clip which is basically what the repair was for the front bumper. Good luck.

If you have mud flaps at the back, contact between a flap and a curb can easily cause the panel to pop out of it's clips. If that's the case, just give it a shove to pop it back in place.

Thank you so much. We went to the dealer today and since so much time has gone by before I discovered this gap, they just shrugged it off. I think they thought it was something I did. They pointed out very small scratches and indentations on the back bumper. I honestly give up on it. I drive so infrequently - less than 400 miles per month, plus the car is garaged every night, so I think I'll be okay. Thank you all for your help!

No mud flaps, but I appreciate your response. Thank you so much!
