is it the PCS? Or a bumper sensor?

My wife says it bumper sensor, we don’t have precollision system. It starts every time brake is engaged

You might get more helpful responses if this was moved to the 3rd Gen RX forum.

Sucks. I had this on my 2016. Turns out it took a nick to the front, probably from a pebble or something. $625 later, I had a working parking system. Each sensor is about $225 + labor to take the bumper apart. Next time I might do it myself.

Default Rain causes front emergency sensors to go haywire on my 2019 RX450h Fsport.

Only when it is raining hard. Took car to dealer who basically said, Oh well, sir, you have sofisticated sensors. Not like the old days. And sent me home.
Does anyone have a fix?

Default Ugly temporary fix is vaseline.

I now have 90K on my 2013 RX, and I still get the erroneous warnings in heavy rain, or in light rain. If the car is wet, even with no current rain, and I slow with breaking, water runs down the hood to the bumpers, and sets off the warning....briefly. So far, I have only two solutions:
1. Turn off the parking assist.
2. Coat the edges of the sensors with vaseline before driving in the rain. However, you may try to find some kind of car wax that can duplicate this effect, and seal the edges of the sensors, and look better than the vaseline.

Hey Guys and Gals, I have also had this problem with my 2012 RX350. It seems as though water is the culprit. I have seen videos on Youtube that seem to have great success with spraying the sensors with WD-40 This disperses any water that may have gotten inside the sensor.. WD-40 is also safe for your paint as long as you wipe it up quickly. Just give them a short burst to the outside of the sensors and wipe up the excess with a clean rag. Give this a try the next time you have the problem and see if it saves you the cost of replacing the sensor.

I assume you know that the WD in WD40 stands for water displacement.
