I loaded a screensaver or picture to the wife's 2015 RX with no problem. Does that only display for a second or two between the "Caution" screen and whatever other screen you last used? Map or radio, etc? Is there no way to have that display when you want it to?

You can have a "Screen Off" image. So when you turn the display off, the picture shows up. Other than that, no. Just on startup and screen off.
