Default Differences between 2010,2011RX and 2012,2013

Thinking about trading my 04 330 for a 3rd gen RX . Are the 2012 or 13 much better than the 2010 or 11 RX . I heard the newer ones are quieter with more insulation and different glass . Is this true and is there any other things that I should consider . Thanks

The 2010 - 2012 look virtually the same. I believe the 2012 is rated for regular gas unlike the 2010 and 2011 that takes premium grade gas. The 2013 has the different grill and some other cosmetic and functional changes. I'll let others chime in about what the other changes are for the 2013. As far as being quieter, I'm not sure that would be easy to validate. My 2010 is pretty quiet and does have the dual paned laminated glass on the side door windows.. But the definition of quiet will range wildly depending on who you ask. These are great vehicles. You can't go wrong with any of those years.

2013 runs on regular gas and LEDs on headlights look modern. I specifically waited to buy 2013 (used) because of better looks.

Here is a great thread outlining the between the pre- and post-facelift RX450h, which should be very similar to the RX350:

Biggest difference would be the front facelift.

I own a 2010, and even though the owner's manual says to run on super gaz, I fill it up with less expensive regular and I haven't seen any difference. My dealer told me the sensors in the motor will detect the difference and adjust accordingly. Premium gaz is more compulsory with motors with turbocompressor, like the new NX200.

I had both a 2010 and 2012. One big difference for me is they added a DC outlet in the floor. The 2010 only has one buried deep inside the console.
