As the title indicates, any word on when the last date to order the 2015 RX350. The lease on my Cadillac SRX isn't up until early November and would really like to stay with the current body style.
Welcome to CL, Gregg. check with your local dealer. I have a feeling they're not going to take any more special orders on the '15 with the '16 coming out. We should have a better idea of when after the preview next week You're going to be limited to what's in stock in November.
The 16 RX is slated "by end of 2015" and when you factor in a few months for factory retooling for '16 model production, you'll be limited to what's on the lot if you show up to the dealer in November.
What you can do is order the specific RX to your liking, even today with a deposit, and arrange for delivery in November. If Lexus wants to sweeten the deal, they may even be able to do something about getting you out of your SRX lease sooner.
To Anita's point, talk to your dealer to see what they can work out for you.
Thanks for the replys. I guess a trip to the dealer is in order I hate the thought of having to settle for whatever is left on the lot.
Yes, be sure to talk with a Dealer. No one here will be able to help. I've been through the special order process several times, and the sales mgr that takes care of inputting dealership orders will know when their cutoff on the present MY is (or was). Lexus (like BMW and MBZ I've also special ordered from) only opens slots for orders a few months in advance, so your dealer will have a certain amount of visibility to perhaps their not being able to order cars for delivery out as far as they normally would. Just know that with the reveal coming up on 4/1, dealerships may still be a bit in-the-dark about what's going on related to the 2016s and therefore end of 2015s -- that was the case in the 2012-to-2013 cutover at my dealership and I trust those I was dealing with. I frankly had more info than they did on the 2013s for close to 2 weeks before anyone at the dealership did, and while they were "cut off" from their systems ordering the 2012's within a short period of time (there was a relatively short timeframe for early availability of the 2013s in 2012), the new MYs didn't become available for ordering until about that same time. (Lexus, like MBZ seems to have some sort of monthly cycle that goes on when slots are opened up or closed for ordering, so IMHO, just be patient with your dealer in this time of transition.)
