I'm considering buying a new 2015 RX350. I googled required maintenance and found that the rear differential fluid should be replaced every 15,000 miles. Is this what the owner's manual calls for or is it just a suggestion on the list I found online?

The manual says every 15,000 miles if you are towing regularly. I would change it every 30 to 50 thousand, ( I think the manual calls for that) but I am obsessive about maintenance and changed my front transfer case and rear diff fluid when I bought my used RX with 21,500 miles. I also used Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube. It is not a difficult do it yourself project. Some never change it with no issues. Here is the 2014 info. It says to inspect at 15K miles.

Thanks for the info. I thought perhaps the maintenance schedule I found online was one of those devised by a dealer rather than the factory.
