New here. Just bought my first Lexus a few weeks ago. Found a nice 2011 CPO RX350 at the dealer. Really impressed and happy with the car so far. Two questions:
1) Is there a service manual available for this car or is it too new? Been looking with no luck other than a few online ones. Looking for one in print form.
2) I am impressed by the lack of much maintenance beyond oil changes. I assume they have a fuel filter that needs changed every XX number of miles, but I can't find any info. Can someone fill me in on that?
I am looking for the service manual as well, to service my 2010 RX350 when the time is needed.
So far i have only been able to find the electrical wiring shop manual on ebay.
You can get a two day subscription to TIS to download what you need.
2. There is no service interval on the fuel filter, generally considered a lifetime item, and to be honest I have only seen a few 2nd Generation RX which have even needed one after a hundred thousand miles. Think you will be good to go for some time with this item.
The last time I asked the Lexus dealer they said the complete manuals will cost about $700. So far I have not had the need to have one. But in case I do, I will go online.
I got the repair manual on CD from eBay last year. I think it is even interactive, or that may be my CT200h manual
Those cheap CD editions on eBay are illegal copies of copyrighted material. Many times they just scan an existing manual, sometimes poorly, and put it up for sale. As such, they should not be recommended and are a violation to the Terms of Service here at CL.
