Got a trip coming up, trying to put in park place hotel 12 park Ln hilton head, sc, won't let me get passed 12 p then something else comes up like penny, any ideas what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas would be great, thanks

 

Herride, try entering city first, then street address. I find that to be easier in general.

 

Hilton calls it:

Park Lane Hotel and Suites
12 Park Ln
Hilton Head Island SC 29928

Tried it on my ES and got nothing.

Are you entering "12" for House Number

and then waiting to enter Park Ln for Street Name?

Just figured I'd ask the obvious just in case.

 

Try entering it by the hotel phone number.

 

Just google map it - directions should come right over the blue tooth if you have it paired up. The pre-loaded nav databases on cars suck. Wonder which car manufacturer will be the first to integrate its display interface with google maps on your phone.

 

Before you begin, make sure you have the right search area selected, if you're not in that area.

The hotel is in the list of points of interest, it's in the "Hotels All" list. Or use any one of the suggestions above to add the address to the navigation.

No, put 12 park Ln for street name, thanks all I will try again in the morning

 

I tried it a couple of different ways and Park shows up as the street rather than Park Lane and yes "12" works as the house number.

So when asked for the street name I was starting to type Park Lane and the list of streets popped up and in the list was Park. Choosing that and then putting in 12 as the house number took me to the same location as I had been taken using the Point of Interest method.

The point of interest method, might be preferable as picking it as a hotel gets the phone number placed in memory to make calling the hotel easier. Entering an address does not provide a telephone number.

It should be noted, this is in a 2012 with the latest map update for this model and year of RX.
