I have a 2013 RX350 with 11700 miles on it, got into it last week started it up and the car had a terrible idol, the dash board lite up like a christmas tree ever light on the dash was lit. It actually felt like the car wanted to stall. I shut the car off waited 15 seconds and restarted it and it was fine. This only happened once, very ususual. Anyone else experience anything like this?

 

Yes, there are similar incidents reported, though I cannot remember the exact cause. You should bring it into a lexus dealer for them to read any codes that were saved in the car's ecu

 

Possibly a defective or weak battery as I've seen similar startup behavior when the battery was at fault.

 

Sounds a lot like a battery - BMWs do the exact same thing when the battery is nearing the end of its life. Mine decided to always cycle through the CD changer in lieu of lighting up the dashboard. Electronics in cars are getting pretty complicated these days.

 

Have to agree my 2012 did something similar, 1 month new, and it was the battery.

But it seems like a case " when you are in the ON " position, right after accesory.
So you heard a continuous engine right? before you turned it Off.
