Default easy entry/exit function

I have a 2010 RX350 base model, no navi

I turned off the "easy entry/exit function" and when I turn off the car the steering wheel still automatically moves into the most upward position. It's only suppose to do this with the function on.

Is something broken? Should I get this fixed?

Funny, I can't get mine to turn on. Simply doesn't work.

Nothing is broken. That's how mine works as well. Even though the seat no longer moves back the steering wheel still moves upward. I like this because it gets the steering wheel out of my way to make for an easy exit.

Just had the same issue with our two week old 2014 Rx450h. Reading the manual, it indicates the seat entry/exit function can be disabled using the customization settings, but not the steering wheel. Digging deeper, found out this is an adjustable function, but only the dealer can enable/disable the steering wheel movement function. It's a setting on the "dealer only" settings menu.

Had our vehicle at the dealer last week for mounting snow tires, and they reprogrammed the steering wheel for us. Now the wheel stays in the last position….our preference.

I'm thinking the wheel enable/disable function is the same with your 2010 Rx350.

Sounds like the dealerships are not doing a good enough job of explaining the Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS). If you go to the following URL and select the appropriate vehicle configuration from the popup button, you will see all that can be set for your convenience and needs.

http://www.lexus.com/service

Those with older vehicles (non 2013-14) can check with the dealership to see if they have a copy for their vehicle as I am not sure there are older copies online for viewing with Lexus.

Thanks RX330inFL. The Lexus Personalized Settings are also listed in the FAQ thead on top of this forum for MY 2010-1014.

2008M3, the steering wheel movement is independent of seat eject. You can probably ask the dealer to disable it.
