How to secure cargo bag on top??
Have a 2013 RX350 with side bars and cross bars on top. I am considering getting a 15 cu ft cargo bag (either Rightline or Thule) but I am uncertain how to secure the cargo bag to the top of the SUV. Side bars are about 37 in across and cross bars are about 29 in across, if I take out the rubber stoppers and adjust them to the max. The cargo bags are about 41 x 34 x 18.
I can see that the cargo bag can fit between the side bars OK but what about the cross bars? Do I sit the bag on top of both bars or just one and if one, which one? Also, if it sits on the roof, is it advisable to get a non-skid protection for the bag to sit on?
Thanks in advance for any help.

The Thule instructions say to let the cargo bag overhang the back crossbar and set it on the roof pushed up against the front crossbar. The front crossbar will add extra protection to keep the cargo bag from sliding off the front of the roof in a hard stop. The cargo bag comes with straps to secure it to the side bars.
There are a lot of different styles - this webpage has some that are made to fit our SUVs.

Thanks for the info. By the way, should I take out the front and rear rubber stoppers out for the crossbars, or just one of them (which one)? Should the bag be attached to any of the crossbars?

I don't have crossbars so I can't take a look and make a recommendation - but without looking, I would say leave everything in place that you can so you will be less likely to lose a piece when it comes time to remove the bag and go back to stock.
The instructions show the cargo bag attaching to the side rails.
