RX270 exists in other markets to satisfy high import tax as well as road tax based on engine displacement and horsepower. These do not apply to us in the US, hence why we are lucky to have RX350/RX450h at a very reasonable price, compared to others.

I just got a copy of the US brochure for the 2014 RX. I'm not too familiar with the 2013, but there are a couple of things I noticed. One is the inclusion of Siri Eyes Free. Colors include Deep Sea Mica, Claret Mica, Nebula Gray Pearl, Silver Lining Metallic, Satin Cashmere Metallic, Starfire Pearl, Fire Agate Pearl, Stargazer Black, Obsidian, and Ultra White. Ultra White is exclusive to the F Sport, and other F Sport colors include Deep Sea Mica, Claret Mica, Nebula Gray Pearl, Silver Lining Metallic, and Obsidian. The F Sport gets black seats with white perforations. There is no third row option. Transmissions seem identical to 2013; 6-speed for the RX, 8-speed for the F Sport, and ECVT for the RXh.

The 2014 model in Europe is already out. No ultra white though. However, we get RED seats on the F Sport!!!

Are there any exterior/interior differences of note? I know a redesign is next year, but I'm curious. I was definitely waiting for the 2014's due to the siri eyes free feature. The only thing I'm concerned about is my liking/disliking of the remote touch feature. I think the 2015's will come out and get rid of it or at least make the dash buttons more functional for easy access to things, and if not - maybe they'll add a back button that people seem to want. I currently have a 2002 rx and am so used to just changing things by feel using buttons instead of having to move a joystick around.

I say 2016.
Model years 2010,2011 and 2012 have the same exterior. ( 2010 still have the "Lexus" emblem)
So my fearless forecast is that the spindle grill look will stay up to 2015.
