Default problem with wireless headsets on rear entertainment system

I recently purchased a previously owned 2010 rx350 that came with a rear entertainment center. It was missing the remote which I ordered (thanks to a recommendation on this forum...) on eBay. Received the remote and proceeded to fumble thru the learning process of playing a dvd. DVD seems to play fine, however, I cannot seem to get the sound thru either of the wireless headsets. I've changed the batteries in the headsets and have been back and forth thru the setup procedure but still can't get sound thru the headsets. The manual states "to use the headphones, connect them to the jack" I don't get that part of the instructions. How are they connected...??? I don't have (and the manual doesn't show) any type of cable or elaborate on "how" this connection is to be made. Is this some type of electronic connection that I'm missing...??? The sound is fine thru the cabin speakers and all other functions seem to work thru the remote. What am I missing...??? Any help would be most appreciated...!!!

Thanks !
