Default Spacers??

Hi, just wondering if any of you guys have added spacers to the RX? I haven't really had any experience modifying vehicles apart from the rims so i dont really know how to go about this.

I have an RX450h F Sport if that makes any difference and i would just like to know the potential disadvantages of fitting spacers and what size to go for? I think the RX F Sport wheels look too hidden under the wheel arches and think the stance will be much better with spacers.

Thanks in advance!

I think about the same thing, and try to find some information from H&R website, but still do not know what thicknesses I should use, 20mm? 25mm? or 30mm? XD

Advice needed, thank you very much.

Not sure if it helps a tiny bit, but I added 5mm spacers to my Gen 2 (RX330) along with fatter tires. Search the Gen 2 forum for details.

Key point was that any wider spacer would have required the change in the 5 wheel studs on each wheel, plus external labor to undo the calipers, discs, existing studs, and adding the new ones - costing a few bucks. I also didn't want to introduce any major changes which could have negatively affected the ride/vibration and warranty, so I went with the maximum spacer that would still visually make a difference, still ride safely and maintain the smooth vibration-free ride.

An important point a few mechanics have told me is you want at least 6-7 full turns of the wheel nuts on the wheel studs (with wheel and spacer mounted) to have a safe strong lock. With the 5mm spacers and stock studs, I had about 6 and a half full turns and I believe without the spacers, they turned about 10 times (stock). 3.5 turns = 5mm... This info might help you with the Gen 3 - who knows, they may be the same wheel studs/nuts.

I'm loving my F-Sport. Hope you're enjoying yours too! Good luck

I was thinking of putting 20mm all around but i dont think I will now. I also talked to one of my friends who modifies cars and he said spacers puts more of a load onto the bearings. Not sure if ill be able to sleep at night after knowing that. I think ill stick to stock

And yes, im loving the F Sport, was messing around with sport mode and the hybrid really does shift if you have a heavy foot! Im liking the ride too. A bit firmer than my gen 2 RX300 but not too bad!
