Question '10 Shop Manual - Wiring ?

Anyone here have access to a factory service/repair manual that has wiring diagrams ?

I'd like to get a look at a page or two.

Thanks,

MEP7557,
Thanks very much for the pics.
I'm trying to determine if the harness or intermediate harness under the centre console on a '10 would be the same for all trim levels.
Ours has a 3 or 3.5 mm input port inside the storage console but is without a USB port. The USB was available that year but only for the ultra premium trim.
Should the harness be the same it should have a pair/triad of wires & a connector. I buy the port, install it & possibly have the dealer flash the computer.

Sounds easy if the wiring is there.

My train of thought is derived from my old Buick & my '10 F150.
Almost every option pre-wired under the dash. Speed-alert, trans. kickdown switches, courtesy lights, clock etc.. Depending on the order, added the device & plug into existing connector.

Cheers

I believe you are correct in your assumption. Just like the illuminated thresholds, the wiring and plug exists on all RX's. I have had the center console apart and I had noticed that there is a set up for the rear entertainment system if I was to add it to my RX. The console is easy enough to get into, everything is just 'snapped' in place. Good Luck and let us know how you fare.

First thing is to put the RX in neutral and set the parking brake. Unscrew the shift ****. Then remove the seat ventilation controls with a plastic pry tool. Once that is removed you can start lifting the top off the console, the top is just snapped in place. The piece separates from the rest of the dash just above the shifter. As you approach the shifter when removing the top you need to pull the console piece toward you, not up. Hope this helps.

Default Copy Right Issue

While we can't stop what you send in private email, copy write material can't be posted in the forum, even a small snippet. I've removed the post with the wiring diagram to protect C/L. If you have questions they can probably be answered in FAQ.
Sorry

Jim,
Understood. Going forward I'll keep it off the public portion.

MEP7557,
Thanks again for the direction. Local dealer can easily access the outlet for me but I may look for used right away. Don't want to invest a whole bunch not being 110% sure it will work.

Once installed or at least attempted I'll post results.

Cheers,

OK, just finishing a bit of correspondence with a Lexus parts technician in Frederick Co..
The Aux./USB jack/outlet will fit the existing opening in the console. The existing harness "may" contain the conductors & plug for the new outlet. They were unable to confirm even with the VIN.
Problem arises on the head unit. Currently no option for USB as a source. Potentially need to replace the head unit, buy the harness & the jack. Not nearly as cost effective as I first thought.
Looks like we'll leave it go as is.

I've seen a couple ideas on this board for installing the USB via a cable beginning in the glove box.
I may look into this a bit more.

Thanks for the help.

Cheers,

Did you find that you can add the enterainment system yourself? By tieing in to something under the console will the DVD be visable on the nav screen when in park? I had thought about buying dual headrest dvd system on amazon and tie in to the power throught the two cigarette lighter connections in my console.
