Good job with perseverance. In the end, Lexus evaluated everything and came through with what you wanted and thought you deserved. Asking for more could be viewed as badly as Lexus would have looked if they didn't offer a new car. Just saying.... If it were me, I'd write a nice letter of appreciation for the way they handled it.

But based on what you stated, I think the dealer gave bad info on the way they wanted to correct the problem and what caused it. Bottom line was it appeared (based on what you said) to have left the factory in an unsatisfactory state and Lexus is correcting by accepting your old one back and giving you a new one. Just my take after reading all the posts.

I would at least try to get some oil changes and gas fill ups.

Congrats on a good outcome.

I must say I'm a bit surprised the OP is even asking the question. Even with the hassle, I'd be quite satisfied with the result. For a bonus, just look at the first couple months of driving essentially a loaner.

Thanks. I just had corporate place the order and am waiting on when delivery will be because it was a custom order. I asked for some additional items to be thrown in by Lexus for the trouble that I have gone through. I asked for all weather floor mats, the cargo liner and a remote starter. They agreed on the all weather mats and cargo liner, but will let me know on the starter. They were hesitant on the starter, but I said that this was my 8th Lexus and I am a valued customer, they said they would get back to me. It never hurts to ask.
