I have removed the roof rack from my 2010 RX 350. It was easy. You have to order 3 things , the caps, the brackets and the bolts. All about $100 from the dealer. You have to put the brackets and the bolts in to seal the roof back up. The caps just snap onto the brackets. The caps have a slight curve to them so you can tell which goes on which side. If you need more info let me know. Love my Lexus.

I want to see a picture of a 3rd gen RX with a naked roof Anyone? My 99 was topless. Rails were an option back then.

Default part numbers

You have to have them look at the model with out the roof rack to get the parts. Anyway here is what I ordered. 4 brackets all the same 63185-48010, about $3 a piece. I recommend getting the bolts too. They are shorter and have the proper seal on them. 8 of them 63230-48010 about $4 a piece. Looks so much better and easier to wash without the rack. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info. I might do the same if I can see a picture of a RX350 without the rack.

You said you need to order three things: caps, brackets and bolts. What about the part number for the cap?

These are from an earlier post from another member. The dealer paid for my caps so I don't have the invoice for them. 75595-48020 & 75596-48020, you need 2 of each. If you go to picture forums, or edmunds.com there are pictures of it without the rack. The FWD Hybrid comes without the rack. If I get around to it I will post pictures.

Thanks MEP7557 that makes getting the correct parts easy. When removing the end caps did you just squeeze, twist them and pull up? Also did you break any of the little clips that hold them on?

I just pulled up and forward on the caps. Grabing them on the top where they connect to the rail. They kind of flew off, so watch it. The clips did not break. Once those are off it is a piece of cake.

One question. The two screws that are underneath the rail just before the end cap, do they have to come out before taking off the end cap?

NO. you don't have to touch them. I made that mistake, not easy to get back in. The caps just snap on.

Default Thanks MEP7557

Your parts numbers were right on target. I removed the rails in less than 30 minutes. I like the look of the Starfire Pearl without the rails. I can spot my wife's car with the distinctive roof.
