Default Parking Assist Feature Test

A great way to test your parking assist is to go through a car wash. All sensors alive and well.

I also love it when I am washing her in the driveway and it beeps whenever the hose hits the door handle.

Hmmm. that sounds interesting. I didn't notice it when I went to the carwash. Perhaps, I was not just paying attention.

...or, when your truck is on, just have someone walk 360 degrees around your truck within approx 3 feet or less, and watch the display and alarms go on and off.

I have not checked the manual yet, but is there a way to turn off the sound (beeping) and just have the LED display?

No. If the beep bothers you, e.g. while waiting at a drive-up window and you're in close quarters to a wall that set off the sensors, I just temporarily turn off parking assist from my steering wheel and turn it back on when I leave.
