Default Climate "Dual" Button

I drove a 2012 RX350 dealer loaner car yesterday while my RX330 was being repaired. WHER THE HECK IS THE "DUAL" CLIMATE BUTTON?

On a non-nav it's just below the radio controls between the "Auto" and "A/C" switches. On a nav I don't have a clue.

There are two temp controls on the head unit, one in the driver's side and the other in the passenger side, once you activate the passenger side one the only way to turn it off is by going in the nav screen climate and clicking off the dual button.

That explains it! What a pain. I prefer the old style hard toggle-on-off switch as per my RX330

When in park you can get to more of the NAV menus. You can set it for one control (driver does the whole car) or dual (driver and passenger control their side. No way it can be better than that. You also have voice control if you want to show off .

Jim,

What if it's set for DUAL, you're moving, and want to change it to "driver's setting?"

In my '08 with NAV I have to go into climate and touch the "DUAL" icon. Not a big deal if you're used to it.. Is the same in the 3rd gen w/NAV?

for cars with Nav,

click the "Menu" button, then click >> Climate

The "DUAL" button is in the upper center of the Climate screen

Just put your finger on the + or - and push it up or down, nothing complicated. Drivers side only is changed.

The whole interface does take some getting used to if you had hard buttons, but once you get the hang of it I think it's better. Besides, you'd be reaching a long way to the screen on the gen III dash!
