Interior panel repair
I have a 2010 RX350 - light grey interior. There is a small puncture in the middle of the glove box door. Anyone know of a good way to repair the spot - I've seen the leather repair ads on TV, yet wasn't sure if any of those work. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
I would just buy a new part and install it. I purchased a vinyl repair kit for boat and car interiors and did a repair on my boat interior. It was a good repair. Relatively easy. Might be worth a try before you buy the new part. Essentially, you are filling the hole with a substance and then matching the surface texture.
I don't have a specific kit to recommend because I was focused on repairing my boat; you might look for a kit oriented toward auto repair. If you go to Amazon.com and type in 'auto seat repair' you will get a number of kits. They are cheap; you can buy several and try the best one. The one I purchased had a range of colors included so you could blend the colors for a good match. It also had some little swatches of texture to use to match the texture of the surface. IMO the texture matching was key. If you get the texture right, the repair will look nice even if there is a slight difference in color. Good luck.

Excellent - Thank you UCSB. I appreciate your response and will check it out, responding back to share how it goes, and if I go for a replacement part, the cost.
