they gave them new car for brake squeak due to the car sitting on the lot, so yeah :-)
This story sounds like a setup to me. Who would expect replacement of a brand new car because the brakes squeak on first application? My brakes make a noise every morning on first application, it is just normal and is heard on every car with disc brakes. I would get worried if the brakes shuddered at highway speed since that would indicate warped rotors. This poster's wife is totally unrealistic and if I were the selling dealership I would encourage her to buy a BMW or M-B since she will be a big pain throughout the ownership period!
@OP...not to be mean but dang, how much noise did your wife make for the dealer to just say it's not worth hearing her whine? Let's just give her a new car and get her our of our hair. That must have been some serious pushing around.
