Hi folks,

I bought my 2010 RX 350 back in October with 15,000 miles on it. It's just passed the 20,000 mile mark so I've scheduled a service appointment online. Just wondering what to expect in terms of will they be suggesting things outside the scheduled service like new tires, etc? I read on another thread that these service apps can run a couple hundred dollars and I'm wondering what else they may try to tack on. Not sure the original tires need to be replaced just yet but I'm wondering if there's anything else I should watch for?

 

don't worry about a thing.
30,000 is the FIRST major service in any car whether it's a toyota or a Lexus.
unless the previous owner did a lot of drag racing, drifting etc then you wouldn't have to worry about the tires either.

Change Oil will happen ( every 10,000 miles for synthetic)
tire rotation, air filter checks mostly minor stuffs,

The tires should be fine unless the treadwear indicators indicate otherwise.

 

You should also consider taking it to a Toyota dealer where they can do the identical service for much much less. They also do a complete inspection and rotate the tires for around $80.00.
Phone around and get a comparison price.
