Default So How Many Times..............

..........have you sat in your easy chair reading the RX 350 manual after the first couple days of bringing it home, jump up, went out in the garage,
and discovered how something works or adjustment, while saying: "I didn't know that."

It's amazing to me the information that's pack into that bible of many words.

There's a lot in there.

Just learned if you want to stop engine and go stright to access. Mode, don't shift to p and press start stop. Can't wait to try it. I've been turning the car off and then getting to access. Mode.

We have had our 2012 for two weeks now and have been too intimidated by the size of that book to explore. Really need to spend some quality time with it...

Thank you for the post. You wouldn't believe how many people just come here and ask how to do something having never looked in the book because it's too intimidating. Well it sort of is, because as you're discovering there is tons of info about new features and how they work that people just won't know about w/o absorbing the manual.

When you consider the financial investment, it's amazing to me that people aren't going out of their way to make reading time for it. I actually had one of my manuals in the 'reading' room for a few days

That's because I was actually looking for it. Like the majority, I rather spend my time doing other things than read the manual!

LOL. I don't know if I will ever figure everything in this car. Sometimes the manual is confusing, especially if you have navigation. I am constantly trying to look different stuff up and then running out to try it. I'm sometimes afraid I will wear the battery down.

The manual is ridiculously large and in my case not always accurate as changes were made. If I can't find something in the Enform app or online I usually just email the service advisor.

One of my best investments re: this car was 30 minutes invested in my driveway with the car on and the manual open going through everything until I was familiar enough to understand the logic. It's a different concept of logic than cars of the past but once understood it all makes sense. I'd suggest every owner (especially those with NAV systems) do the same. The time invested will pay off in spades .
