Default RX450h extended warranty

Have anybody purchased or looked into an extended warranty for their RX450h either from the dealer or online. Just wondering what are the cost and terms. I assume the RX450h's extended warranty will cost more than the RX350's, anybody have an idea how much more?

My sister has an RX350 and I have an RX450h. She shopped extended warranties around and was quoted both 6 yr/100K mls and 7 yr/100K mls for both vehicles. The RX450h was $320 more than the RX350 for the 6 yr and $435 more for the 7yr. I would definitely shop it around. We live in FL and she got her extended warranty from GA, I think Butler Lexus to be exact. I haven't bought mine yet. Just know that he have lots of bargaining room.

Thanks Tapau, we just started shopping around ourself. There are some dealers that offer low online pricing for the extended warranty. Do you have any idea what a 7 year / 100K miles warranty cost for the Rx450h?

The first, and only, quote for the RX450h 6/100 $0 ded was $1540 and for the 7/100 $0 ded was $1990. However, they quoted both cars and I haven't followed up yet. My sister did follow up on the quote for her RX350 and got it down another $200 dollars. I wouldn't doubt that they would come down on the extended warranty for the RX450h also. Please post when you finally purchase, I'd like to know what people are paying. I'm definitely going to purchase before the end of the year.

My sister got a online quote from this company, the owner's name is Troy, he is a business manager for a Toyota dealer somewhere here in MA. He sells Lexus factory extended warranties among other brands. To make a long story short, she got a quote from them and ask the dealer to match it and they did. I believe the finally price was $1600+ for a 08 RX350, 7 yrs/100K miles. I believe it was roughly about 25% less than the dealer's original asking price.

From the fd-warranty website, it refers to the 6 and 7 year warranty, but not for the higher mileage (125,000) and years (8) that are mentioned on the Lexus extended warranty link?
So, they only sell a few of the possible Lexus warranties ?

Our highest level of extended service coverage for virtually every component group in your vehicle. Coverage terms range from 6 years/ 70,000 total vehicle miles to 7 years/100,000 total vehicle miles.

That might be just a generic statement, I would give Troy a call or an Email to see if he offer the 8 year warranty.

Not sure if this helps, but, I got a 7/75k Platinum w/o deductible for $1550 for my 2012 RX 350.
