Default Just purchased new 2012 RX 350

Love this car so much I traded in my loaded 2004 RX 330 with 64k miles. I think I got a pretty good deal on my new one; 2012 with Comfort Pkg, Navigation, Premium Pkg., Intuitive Parking Assist, Wood & Leather Trimmed Steering Wheel & Shift out the door at $46,500. Any thoughts?

Congratulations!
You did not mentioned whether your car is AWD or not, sounds like you've got a pretty good deal. With your options, Edmunds True Market Value is: $46,883 including Destion Fee of $875.
MSRP: $48,665
Invoice: $44,018

Congrats jamiec. Nice color combo there. I'm sure it's night and day coming from the 330. It was for me. And don't worry about what you paid for the 350, just enjoy the heck out of it.

Now I'll run down the rules, pictures are mandatory and the test on the owners manuals is next Tuesday so read up

What do you think your cost would have been if you hadn't traded in your car, just wondering?

$45,000 is a good price if its AWD. that is how much I paid for my 2010 more than two years ago with same option minus Parking Assist but had towing package/kit.

Wait, I am unclear. Is it 46,500 minus the price for the trade in?

My new baby is AWD and I will take delivery today, 9/28/11. $46,500 was price before my trade, after trade ($14,500) total including tax, etc. was $32k. I added body side moulding which they threw in for free. The price of the vehicle before negotiating was $51k. I used Edmunds to help me with the price negotiations, dealer invoice was $44,302 and true market value was $47,195. I asked to see the ships manifest which shows the dealer cost which was $44,003 so I offered $45,000. So before tax and processing fees my cars total was $45,074. Hope this makes sense, I feel like I'm rambling, lol

Hope I covered everyones questions, if not just let me know.

First, Congrats and enjoy your new ride.

Second, is the price inflated that much or are you mis-listing some options? in 2/2010 when I bought my 2010 3RX AWD with these options: Navi, HID, wood trims, AWD, sunroof, heat/cool seats, tow prep package, park assist, remote starter for msrp of 48,6xx.

I'm sure the price is a little inflated, but, I also live in the DC metro area which comes with higher price tags on just about everything. :-( There are quite a few items that are now standard on the 2012 but here's the option detailed list:

Comfort Pkg: Rain sensing wipers w/mist control, HID headlamps, Adaptive Front Lighting, Intelligent High Beam Systems, Driver and passenger heated and ventilated seats, 12 speaker premium audio.

Navigation System with Voice Command, Lexus Enform and Destination Assist, Lexus Insider, XM Radio, NavTraffic & NavWeather (90 trial) Backup camera, remote touch control

Intuitive Parking Assist

Pemium Pkg: Leather trim interior, one-touch open/close moon roof, auto-dimming electrochromic Power Heated outside mirrors, power rear door, USB audio plug, driver's seat steering/mirror memor 3 settings

Wood & leather trimmed steering wheel and shift.

That's pretty much it.....

I think you got a great deal. I am looking for a 2010 RX 350 and I see them going in some places for as high as $46,000. Fully loaded, but still used!!

@BatmobileX..............right now the 2012 are about the same price as the 2011 (thanks to a slow economy) so if you're going to spend $46k for a 2010 you might want to consider a newer model for the same price.
