I'd like to buy a pet ramp for our approximately 20 pound dog to climb up into and out from the passenger doors of a 2011 RX350. Most of the pictures I see online at places like petco or petsmart show dogs climbing up a ramp into the trunk area of an SUV. But I'd prefer a ramp that will fit the side doors of our new RX. The problem is that there isn't much clearance width-wise on the passenger doors for a ramp, even when they are fully opened, unless perhaps a ramp were to be placed on an angle. Do any RX/pet owners know what I'm saying or have any ideas?

I'd get the 20 pound dog into the car the same way I would get a 20 pound child into the car [does he mean shopping bag?].
A ramp seems like a whole lot of trouble and a time-consuming task.

this is the first time i've heard of a pet ramp. if you can't find one, maybe build your own.

Ditto, +1000. A ramp seems like a whole lot of trouble and effort for a 20 lb pooch. I'm sure a ramp could be jury rigged somehow, but then you have to deploy it and store it. Unless fido is a snarling mass of teeth I'd lift him in and out.
