Hi again. I installed a pair of PIAA Xtreme White Plus 9005's for my DRL because I did not like the yellow color from the original DRL's, but when I plugged it in, it was still yellow. I didn't realize that it was still running at half power even though I have bi-xenon HID's. Two questions. First, how do I go about getting/making a bypass to have the DRL's run at full power? Would I be able to use one that works with the LED DRL's like a relay or decoder? Second, the bulbs say that they use 60W of power, but run as if it's 120W. Is that safe? Would it melt the housings? I already have ceramic connectors paired with them so it won't melt the power connectors.

Damn. The need for ceramic connectors tricked me... Are there applications where they do come in handy, or are they just a waste?

One last thing. What makes the DRL's a high beam if the bi-xenon projector is already high's? Is it the reflector for the DRL's?

I think X Men meant is that the lens, reflector, and bulb that are used for the DRL's are configured as high beam lights, but when used as DRL's they run at half power in order not to blind oncoming drivers. If you modify the DRL's to run at full power, then it would be like driving around with your high beams on all the time.

Maybe it's different from fog lamp, but there was a review that the advertised 80w melted my foglight housings in 3 months. He has laminex cover, so it may made it worse. Better be safe with 120w.
