Just got mine 5 days ago. This is my third one. Had the RX300, RX330 and now the RX350. Love it!

I just put the mud guards on that I got from Sewell so easy to put on - I think a monkey could do it. Waiting for my floor mats to come. I also bought the Lexus Cargo Box very nice and sturdy, a bit on the smaller side but keeps everything organized. I had one that I purchased awhile back for the IS but it fell apart, I don't think this one will fall apart. It has handles so you can carry it and folds up when not in use. I have a question for everyone...I took the owners manual out of the glove box so now I have space to put items is it just me or is the configuration of the glove box strange? All my stuff just slides around in there and when I open it up everything wants to slide out. Any ideas besides leaving it empty? Thanks. Hope my fellow RX owners in the Bay Area are staying Dry its a bit wet out there.

hey daryl!
Nice car again!!
For the owners manual, there is a dedicated space inside the center console for that. (take out the trays and pull the cubbies, then, go deep down with your arm and reach forward towards the shifter.
Some might prefer leaving it out on the open storage space right under the shifter.
I do too find the gb a little shallow to my like, so usually i just leave a small flashlight, couple packs og smokes and some receipts in there.

Do Lexus in the States come with the leather folder for the driver's manuals?

In Canada, the leather folder for the manuals of RX350 actually has a velco tape at the back which I suppose it is for you to attach the leather folder in the trunk area, just like the first aid kit..

Default dealer decals

Beautiful car, I am jealous. I'm seriously looking for an suv, and have narrowed down the search to the Lexus RX, thanks to the many positive comments on this forum. What I want to ask about are those ad decals that dealers put on brand new cars. I do not like them, and they are sometimes impossible to remove. I have a 2000 E320 Benz, and it came with a metal decal that wa glued on right on the paint on the rear of the car. After a few years itstarted to peal off, then I finally carefully pulled it completely off, but it has left a big scar on the paint. It is about 1.5 by 8 inches. My question is can I have a notice written on the invoice so that nothing is attached to my brand new shiny car??

elvato, tell the dealer they'll have to pay you a monthly advertisement fee if they put their sticker on your car Fortunately my dealer doesn't use them.

Welcome to CL.

My dealership doesn't put those decals on the vehicles. They do put the Lexus of Tampa Bay bracket around the license plate though. Best of luck in shopping for your SUV. You really can't go wrong with the RX. All-in-all, it is a great vehicle! I'm also driving my second RX and had such a positive experience with the previous RX, that it was pretty much a no-brainer to stick with the next gen RX. Happy shopping!

I think it is expected that a dealer puts the license plate frame, but not many in my area use the decal. I would specifically ask them not to when I place my order/buy it.

I am not a fan of dealership advertisement on my vehicles either. With both cars I have had from Lexus they put the license plate frames advertising the dealership but when I get my permanent plates I take them off. UPDATE: I did some minor customization. Put on Mud Guards and installed Husky liners all around. I like the liners because they protect all the areas that the stock carpet mats did not and since I have gray interior this is important..they cover the drivers side foot rest and the area under the gas pedal and they don't look bad. They also have a nice lip all the way around to protect leakage onto the carpet and not plastic smell either which is a plus since I am still enjoying the new car smell. Hope everyone is enjoying there RX as much as I am.

I tell the salesman, no decals on the car or the deal is off. Never had a problem.

I dunno but I can't seem to understand what you're trying to say. There's a purpose for commas and proper sentence structure.

EDIT: Sorry, I was referring to someone before my post not making any sense and for some reason, that post is gone.
