it has one if you got the 12 speaker or the ML system. the stock 9 speaker system does not have a sub.

On the side, I think it is only on the "premium 12 speakers" or Mark Levinson

Do you still need help with the sub? I had mine out this weekend putting in 'Rattletrap'

I have to say it made a big difference. Got rid of some of the tire noise as well.

It's a rubberized foil covered sound deadening material. I removed the seats, carpet, and side panels of the rear. It has a peel and stick installation. I applied it to all the bare metal areas I could. I always wondered what they meant by an "L" shaped sub. Now I know.

Fatmat.com the Rattle Trap is the thicker of their products. It does have a slight tar smell at the moment I will let you know how long it takes to go away. They do make a more expensive one that has no smell it's called Mega Mat. I'm waiting to see if the smell goes away before I do the front half.

Default The first steps

1. You will need to remove the rear mat and carpet. Remove the spare tire cover and the spare tire for easier access.
2. The deep black plastic bin is removed by pushing in on the center of the clips then lifting up on the unit. The shallow compartment next to it is removed by simply lifting up on it, the pins will pop out and are reusable.
3. The jack equipment compartment needs to be removed as well, once again by just lifting on the compartment. This will expose the side panel and perhaps a few more black clips holding the panel in place.
4. Remove the tie down anchors. A small screw drive will snap open the cover and expose the bolt. (see picture). Remove both of them.
5. The T shaped holder for the cargo net (see picture) must be removed, this is done by twisting it clockwise. It will pop right out and expose a screw behind it, remove it. Like wise remove the screw from behind the retractable cover support (see picture).
6. Now remove the side plastic molding by the rear door(see picture) by simply pulling on it, it just snaps in place.
7. The carpet piece and the hard plastic piece, of the side panel, with the light in it are permanently connected to each other so it comes out as one piece. Once again this just snaps in place so you just pull on it and it pops out. There is a wire connected to the light and 12v outlet and the trim around the seat back release pops off, leaving the handle behind. The grille for the Sub woofer is permanently attached to the panel, it is not removable.
8. Depending on how much access you need you may have to remove the trim around the rear door so you can completely remove the side panel. You might be able to swing it out enough to get to the sub.
9. You will need to remove the metal brace that runs from front to back of the cargo area as you will notice the sub is notched around it, at least mine was, I have the ML System.
10. Disconnect the wire that is attached to the lower part of the box of the sub. Then there are the four nuts that hold it on, 3 around the speaker and one on the floor board.. I new I should have taken pictures while I was doing this, I was under the gun and didn't have time.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

Here are the pictures of the side molding by the rear door. It just pulls off.

Couldn't put all the pics in the first post.
