LOL. Looks strange, but it is certainly more useful than under the console. Perhaps it is possible to plug something in while driving.....probably not.

BUT...the complaints about the location in the 2010 have been heard and somewhat addressed.

 

why exactly do you have to look at the garage door button? you use the same one/ones every time. either 1 2 or 3. you cant feel where it is? jeez

 

I sympathize with those who feel this should have been included, and as I mentioned previously, it's a marketing gimmick to withhold it in the current model's first few years. Yes, I myself reach up and feel for the ridged surface just back of the button which guide me to the switch (and I came to the RX from the LS that had every conceivable button lit to the point of distraction, but not having this one now doesn't bother me), but for those coming from an earlier generation that had this feature, it is understandable that they would feel disappointed to not have it now.

 

two things I really don't like about my new 2010 RX..

1. both 12v power outlets are in the secrect compartment under glove box..

2. I have navigation, so the dash layout is different..really hate have to go to menu to change climate control setting and radio setting..much rather they keep the buttons on the dash like the non-nav version..

that been said, anyone know if it is possible to retrofit the 12v outlet like the 2011 has?
