Default How much did you pay for your RX350?

I'm going to be purchasing the 2010 RX350 soon since I saw no major differenece between the RX2011 and the RX2010. I went and took a look at their top of the line (which I want to get) and their sticker price was a little more than $51,000. With tax license it came to a little more than $57,000. They offer it to me for a little more than $50,000. Anyone know if this is a decent price they offered me? I declined their offer but this was the first dealer that I went to. Thanks for your help.

Please forgive me hopping on your thread here but I'm curious on this subject as well. I hope to be purchasing my RX within the next couple of weeks. I too am planning on purchasing the top of the line with the entertainment system. Is the price you're quoting in your post including that as well? I was roughly quoted around 51K for a 2010 a few weeks ago. Not sure what the 2011 price might bring that number up to.

Anyway I'll be lurking around this thread for answers too Hope you don't mind!

Sounds like your Dealer is a THIEF!!! If the car stickers at little more than $51,000. you should pay no more than $47,000.00 at the max. plus taxes etc.
Do your self a favor and go to www.truecar.com and pop in your info and see the facts....this is what you should pay and what you will pay if you click on it! I saved $6,0000. off sticker on a 450H. I picked it up at a distance, however it is worth the savings.

@JenB: Yes the price I was quoted includes the Mark Levinson sound system.
@BlueSurf: Thanks for the info. When they quoted me the price of a little more than $50,000 i walked. I said I'm not paying anything more than $47,000. Let's see if they call me back. Thanks for the website by the way.

One of the Lexus places quoted me $51K and a very low trade-in value. The vin they quoted me on was different than the car I tested - it was an AWD, not the forward-drive I wanted. I found that out later when I looked at the sheet they gave me. Completely different car and yeah they held my keys hostage when they played their little waiting game. Needless to say, I walked and will never go to that dealership again.

I ended up paying a little under $43K (out the door with the prem. and comfort package.) No entertainment or ML system. I didn't need them.

I went to another dealer and this is what they offer me for the 2010 RX350 with Mark Levinson Package with Navigation and the luxury package: Sticker price was a little more than $51,000. With tax license and everything out the door price came to a little more than $57,000. And the out the door price they offered me was a little more than $52,000. More than what the first place had offered me. I know that car with that package doesn't cost that much. Does anyone know what is a reasonable price I can counter with? Thanks for everyone's help.

$46300 is the invoice on a $51K RX350.
Definitely go under that number and add tax and fees.

There's good things about buying the most recent model year (2010) and bad things. Good thing is you should have great success getting it under invoice, bad thing is you won't have a lot of power to request certain options be mandatory, or only certain colors, etc...

I would come back with 45-46K and see where that gets you. Also, wait until Monday to start getting "serious" about buying...dealers will want to get that sale by the end of the month...which also happens to be an end of a quarter.

I would only buy under invoice. At worse, invoice if you really want that particular RX.I paid invoice on a $48256 list in April.
You can buy an '11 for a thousand or two over invoice and have the resale value of an 2011 vehicle.
I think the sales person and sales manager knows you're hot on that '10 RX350 and know you'll pay more than you should.
Don't do anything.They'll call you.

so the dealer called and gave me the price of $49,300 out the door. Does that sound like a reasonable price? I live in San Diego, CA where the sales tax is 8.75%.

Sound good if you don't have a trade in vehicle.
