Default Car Buying Tips.

I did very extensive (exhausting) research before I bought my car (RX 2010) and I want to share few things that I found very helpful.

First, read article below. It goes over necessary information that you need to know before going to the dealership.
http://www.smartmoney.com/spending/a...wont-tell-you/

Second, visit websites like:
http://www.truecar.com/index.html?so...gnId=xJS_cl_tp
You can find price report as well as contact a dealer who has the best certified offer.
http://www.edmunds.com
It will help you to get clear idea about car prices.

Third, check out enthusiastic forums, you can find specific car review.

P.S. http://www.dealerrater.com/ has dealerships rating, which could be very helpful.

Thank you. On dealerrater.com I found the car I just traded (for $5,000 more than they gave me) on my dealer's rating area, plus the car fax report link to the vehicle. The dealer told me they would have a hard time giving an excellent rating since excellent condition ratings are rare. Well what do you know - it's rated as excellent. Liars.

The link to the article is not working unfortunately. It says the article is not found.

The internet was the way to go for research for me. I researched for 6 weeks before I made my buy and it was worth the time.

Thank you again for your helpful information.

Elespu,

Glad to hear you bought your RX via truecar.com.
I guess that truecar.com had the best information, right?
Next time I buy any car, boy, I'm going to use truecar.com
since almost every time you post in this forum, truecar.com gets mentioned.

But I could be wrong, right truecar?...er...Elespu?
Hey, I have no idea if it provides a good service or not...but why not just ante-up and become an authorized Vendor on this forum instead of trying to do it the el cheapo way?
