Default Hidden Menu - forgotten

I've misplaced my notes about the hidden menu that shows the hardware, software and firmware versions of the navigation system.

It involved turning the lights on and off three times. I don't remember what the other steps were to bring up the menu.

Anyone know?

Thanks,

Didn't think that trick worked on the new Generation of Nav Units found in the RX.

I've used it before on my 3rd Generation RX450, just forgot the "keystrokes".

I'm still obsessing about iPod/iPhone connections. My dealer has some of the latest models and I want to check their iPod/iPhone connections. If they work correctly, I wish to point out the difference to my service adviser and see if they can update my car.

Thanks,

It should be under System, if my memory serves me right.

Now it's off to Lexus dealer to compare the versions of a RX built 2/10 to a 9/09. iPod works in the 2/10 build and not in the 9/09 build. Hope this gives me some support to my request to get my firmware/software updated. I fear it maybe hardware and not something they would "give" me.

Good luck, DunWkg! I finally got my 450h, literally right off the boat in Portland, and the scrolling works a little more like it should. As soon as you connect the iPod, it starts playing the first song by the first artist... but it never starts to auto-play anything else.

The rest of the iPod interface is a bit klugey: Everything comes up in alphabetical order, and if you have a lot of songs or artists to scroll through to get to what you are looking for, it takes FOREVER to page down.... I keep thinking I need to read the manual to see if there's some trick to jump to a particular letter.

Yes, the phonebook has an alphabetical index to make finding contacts easier. The iPod/iPhone interface does not. Scrolling can take forever. Be thankful you have the corrected version. In the "non-working" version, each time you hesitate the screen blanks out for a second or two making scrolling painful and requires more driver attention.
