sun shade for RX 350 windshield
Does anyone know where I can get a "spring shade" sun shield for our new RX 350? I'm looking for a one piece shade that folds into a circle, but that is large enough for the RX 350 windshield. I know it may seem like a stupid request, but we live in Colorado and the sun is hot, hot, hot!!!! Thanks

I picked up mine at Wallymart for less than $10. I think it was called Ventshade. And I remember how hot it can get in CO even though the temp is cool. But I'd take over 300 days of sunshine a year.

Thank you, I will check into it. I was hoping for a spring shade that rolls into a circle. Can't find one big enough. May have to go with the "made to fit" shade. Thinking it might be "in the way" when not in use.

The one I have does that. I twist it over and it collapses into four smaller circles less than a foot across with a stretchy band to keep it closed. I think it was the jumbo size and fits the entire windshield. They might not list the '10 RX but go with the one for the earlier models. With the small size I can hide it under the back seats when it's not in use. And it's a lot cheaper than the roll type ones the dealers have.

Too funny, I have the same kind. Left over from my 4Runner. Look for the Truck/ SUV type. I really prefer the collapsible/ circle kind. Sometimes I only use half of it just to cover the steering wheel.

The sunshade from Sewell is good heavy-duty heat blocker, but it is onerous to install. I use Sewell's shade for parks over 4 hours and certainly several days, like at a resort. I also use a round springy jumbo shade from Costco for parks less than 4hours, like going to a matinee. Costco's shade twists into 3 small circles, sometimes hard to do. I carry both in the vehicle.

I've got the Sewell version for my GS. It fits like a glove and keeps the vehicle much cooler than without. It's not that big of a pain to "install" or roll-up.

Got mine on Amazon.com for $39.90 includes shipping. Ships from distributor named ProTrim, Inc. I got the HEATSHIELD Windshield Custom-fit Sunshade. Rolls up into cylinder and secures with velcro strap. I tuck it behind passenger seat while driving. Fits like a glove. Used same on previous Infiniti FX35 I owned. Very sturdy and reliable. Looks like and

that's the same brand that Sewell is selling. It's $29.95 from them and if you sign up with your Club Lexus user id, you get an even lower price.

Thanks for the Sewell recommendation. I just ordered one for my 450h. Normal price is $30 and for Club Lexus customers $25 (I hope I am not breaking any forum rules, if so let me know & I will change). Just register and put in your Club Lexus ID. The next time you return to the site (and log in) it will show you the CL price.
