oil change
Reading 'twice' through the new Maintenance requirements I noticed something else that is baffling to me.
There is a requirement at 144 months or 120,000 miles for the 350 to replace spark plugs and it say's (on RX 350, use Denso FK20HR11 plugs or equivalent) pg 21. I couldn't find any mention in the book for changing plugs on the 450h.
I'm pretty sure I'll have traded up before then so it's not a real concern for me, but it's still baffling they don't mention any spark plug replacement requirement for the 450h model.

Here is a place that does a UOA (Used Oil Analysis) http://www.blackstone-labs.com/ they send out a free kit then You bassiaclly fill up a small bottle when you get your oil changed. Then Mail it back and then they email and mail you a report.
You also got a PM.
on a side note-
If you use another type oil and run it for 10k and do a UOA and it shows that the oil is still good then Lexus cant bother you. But if you use a different type of oil and run it for 10k but have no proof it can run that long they will prob hassle you.

Yes, you should monitor the other fluids, but most likely nothing will need to be added within the 10K interval.
I was just at the Lexus dealer on Saturday with my IS350. I told my SA in service department that I planned on going to 10K intervals with the Lexus/Toyota synthetic oil. He said okay, no problem.
If you lease the car then meh w/e, but if you own the car I would run a UOA once you did 10k to make sure everything is ok, even better and what I would do is to stop at 7500 do a UAO and see if you can go for longer.
Does not matter if you lease (or own) or if you use UOA or not, nobody checks this stuff upon lease return. 5-7.5K on specified conventional oil or 10K on Lexus synthetic will not be a problem for those leasing.
^ if you own the car you want to make sure your oil has enough TBN and Viscosity to be protecting your engine. I agree with the leasing comment but if you own it, blindly going high mileage OCI is dumb imo.
I see your point, but OCI of 7.5/10K for correct conventional/synthetic oils is not high-mileage today. Going beyond would be high-mileage.
