The Nav system is displaying small red dots on each road I travel. They keep accumulating on the roads i frequently travel. How do I clear these or eliminate them from occurring? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

I don't have access to the manual right now but take a look and see if there is a 'breadcrumb' type setting where you may have the system logging your trip and saving the info.

Helpful if you want to get back from somewhere I guess, but I've never used it.

If you have map version 8.1 will see those annoying red dots. I don't think 9.1 has them

 

In section 3 page 111 you'll find the information on how to erase the route tracing. When you are finished with a route you have to select NO in order to erase the route displayed or tracking dots.

Touch 'Map View'
Touch 'Stop'
Touch 'Yes' or 'No' to keep or delete the little red dots.

 

I'm not sure I like the Nav on my 2010 RX. Sooo used to the 3D from Garmin. I like garmins turn by turn, miles approaching, time of arrival etc. maybe I just don't know how to navigate this system. Any thoughts on this? also I've come from a 2008 RX, no nav.

 

Cough got it right. Somehow, you had route tracing on and all you have to do is to turn it off and delete the trace (the little red dots) that are there.
