Default Heads up display

Is the "Heads Up Display" feature available on the 2010 models? I've seen videos on the Lexus website regarding this technology, but do not see the "Heads Up Display" option listed in the Build Your Own section of the website. I read somewhere that some or most dealers do not have this option available. I would love this option (in theory) so any info would be appreciated.

Welcome BHart882. HUD is available on the 2010 RX if you special order. I did to get that, along with the LEDs and a few other things. It's the way to go if you want your RX built exactly the way you want it. By the way, it took a little over 4 months from order to delivery. Good luck.

It's only available under the Luxury Packages with Additional Options selection.

Do a search for "heads" and it'll scroll down to the bottom. However, when building your own model the website asks you to enter in your zip code to check your region. Maybe your region just doesn't offer the heads-up option in the luxury package...

I think its a great feature. I am so used to using it now that looking down at the speedometer is just weird and confusing. =) I wish it displayed more information though, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of trying to reduce distractions.

I also plan to special order my car, though in my region, you can get the HUD because it is a common configuration.

does anybody know when I can start a special order if I want a 2011 model? I know the RX450hs have a life cyle at around july/august, and if it takes 4 months for it to process and build, Im just curious when I should place the order.

Mine came with it in addition to the Luxury Package.$1200. I didn't really want it but it came with the total package. I now really enjoy it and am glad I have it. Same here, I hardly look at the dash anymore, shame since it is a nice looking dash. It has saved me from a ticket or two I believe.

I have one in my 2010 but it was a special order as others have mentioned. Warning, mine took almost 6 months to get here from the time I put down a $2000 deposit. Regarding the HUD, others have stated they were surprised about how much they enjoy it, and I agree with them. I never realized how much I glanced over at the speedometer expecially when I'm trying to get good mileage out of the hybrid. It's also nice and safer to see the Nav info displayed on the windshield as I approach a turn or exit. Don't have to glance at the Nav screen to see distance to exit.
