Default 2010 RX - remote starter question

anyone using one that works that they like? what make/model adn for how long? just got my new 2010 rx, with remote start - who wants cold/hot bottom? well, it set off the alarm every time i tried it, adn yesterday, i ran down the battery so i needed to call for a jump start. dealer said factory remote cannot be used b/c of problems, and i should use another product "prestige". that model set off alarm, and appears to have run down the battery, and its a second remote. any suggestions? i am ready to pull it out

My installer likes Compustar, so that's what I'll have soon. Just think of it: a remote start that works remotely and with just one button push rather than 3 or 4 carefully timed presses!!!! I'm psyched.

Any issues with the alarm being accidentally set off are mistakes done by the installer. When properly installed, you will see no defects.

The two main and best units you can go with, in general are either produced by CompuStar or Directed Electronics like the Viper and Clifford units.
