$52000 for a MDX, no wondering why they are not selling well.

Have you seen one yet? I was wondering what other people think of the new look?

I test drive a 08 and look at a 2010, the 08 was ok looking, still like the 1st gen better. The 2010 has the new Acura bird beak grille which is 2 steps backward look wise.

I had a 2004 MDX and we liked it but we had quite a few issues with the heated seats.

I had a 03 MDX which I had to be on a waiting list to buy. It had quite a few rattle problems and the fit and finish was terrible. The last gen did not handle as well as this gen, but the front end looks a lot better than the new power ranger grille.

I was at the DC auto show today (their first day which seemed poorly attended). I spent some time in the Acura displays and remarked to one of their reps how off-putting the "beak" is to many people. He agreed and said it was the #1 complaint that people had about these cars. I wouldn't be surprised if Acura dumps it within the next model year or two, same as Subie did with that "Edsel snout" on their first Tribeca.

I believe the smart key is part of the new more expensive package that puts it in the low to mid 50's. I think they need to fire their designers and find a new style for Acura or they will continue to lose sales.
