0-20w Oil

Lexus Test Driver
Just got home from my 1000 mile check. I asked the dealer how much an oil change was going to be after my 5K one so I would be prepared. I was informed that Lexus just issued a service advisory and since synthetic oil is used they (Lexus) now say10K between oil changes. So at my 5K they will rotate and do a vehicle check and at 10K they will do the first oil/ filter change. The 5K and 10K are both on Lexus. The cost after that is about $200. Considering that will be a once a year event I will more than likely use the Dealership.

MEP7557 - here's the official Lexus language re change in complimentary services -
"Lexus is pleased to announce extended oil drain intervals for the 2010 RX350, RX450h, HS250h and GX460. These vehicles are certified with SAE 0W-20 synthetic oil and will now have an oil drain interval of 12 months/10,000 miles under normal operating conditions.
Maintenance intervals will remain at every 6 months/5,000 miles (when the maintenance indicator light illuminates) and Lexus will continue to provide owners with 2 complimentary services.
The first complimentary service will now be at 6 months/5,000 miles and will include: checking oil and other fluid levels, brake inspection, tire rotation and Lexus Personalized Settings (LPS). Please note the complimentary 30 day/1,000 mile service will be eliminated for these vehicles.
The second complimentary service will now be at 12 months/10,000 miles. In most cases, where vehicles are driven under normal operating conditions, this service will include the first necessary oil change."

No, I don't play soccer!
Funny, I didn't see this and I just returned from the 30 day/1K service. The dealer didn't mention it either. And of course the little sticker is missing from the upper left inside windshield to tell me when the next service is. Jeff, thanks for the info.
