Default Retained Audio after turning engine off?

Greetings all-

Great forum. I've been lurking for some time...first time post.

Is there a setting/customization that will allow the radio to remain on after the engine is stopped? Currently, when I park, push the stop button, the radio stops. I may just be spoiled from my GM trade-in.

I'm a non-nav 2010 owner.

Thanks!

There is no option to have the audio continue to play until the door is opened after the vehicle is turned off. You can depress the start button without your foot on the brake to listen to the audio without running the engine. Welcome and enjoy!

Oh I remember that from the Fords particularly the Lincoln Navigator, I remember being able to remove the key and still listen, I suppose it's pretty common in American cars, i've never been into a Japanese car with that option.

That's an American tradition. All my American cars had it since the late 80's, but never had an Asian car with that. Goes along with having the cig lighter (12v plug) active all the time in American cars vs only with accessory activated with key in Japanese cars.

my benz also allows the radio to be on until the key is pulled completely out. but the radio also works if the key is out too if you push the power button

what you need to do is just dont press the brake pedal and push the start button and that is ACC

I assume you want to remain in the car and listen to radio after parking. If so, after pulling into parking space or where ever, with foot still on brake, move shift lever to neutral, push button to kill engine, move shift lever to Park. The radio will continue playing without interruption. Enjoy.

I did the same thing.

Don't shift it to Park before pushing the button.
