Default 08 400H or 450H

Went to the dealer to buy/order a 2010 450H and he then showed me a 08 with only 500 miles for about 12K less. Now I have a dilemma, what should I do?

nothing could sway me into buying an older generation. You would eat close to that much in depreciation alone

agree with RXSF--now--if they knocked off 20k? buy the 08 and wait for 2 years and then get a 450h with whatever mods they do over next 2 years.

I would check edmunds to see what a trade in value for a 400h is

Yeah, you are right. They did not have any 450H's, so I was disappointed. Best to order the new one.

no brainer, 450h all the way. unless of course the 400h was heavily discounted. i came close to getting a 2009 RX400h when our dealer slashed over $20K on a fully loaded one. i'm glad i didn't and got the RX450h instead.

I did not know a 2009 RX400h existed, I thought Lexus did not make a 2009 RX400h. That makes the 2008 even a worse deal.

i asked my wife to confirm (we both were looking to the 400h); yes, it was a 2009 RX400h that we saw.

I think you might have just seen a 2008 model. there was no 2009 RX400h. It skipped a year
