Default Anybody Know About Fleetrates.com???

I found these guys on a search and they sound pretty good but I know nothing about them except I can get an 09 rx 350 for $1000.00 over invoice and 4.9%.
He is saying only $1000.00 below invoice on an 08 which I think should be lower.
So my wife and I are going to a dealer this Friday to look at colors and drive one but that 4.9% is peeking my interest no pun intended. 1% over 5 years will be $34.00 a month x 5 years =$2045. any input on fleetrates would be appreciated.

I was recently quoted invoice for a 2009 RX350. I was also quoted $2K under invoice on a 2008 RX350 with no negotiation. They are desperate to get these moved ahead of the redesign for 2010.

If you have good credit, getting a loan in the low 5% range is very possible. I was pre-approved @ 5.39% through my bank. Probably could have done a bit better shopping around.

Default Fleetrates Experience

I recently took possession of a 2008 Lexus RX350 AWD which I purchased through Fleetrates. Would I do it again? I think that water torture is preferrable. If you'd like to talk to me about my experience, send me a private message. Bob

Thanks Bob but I went with a dealer because the dealer actually beat fleets price. Sorry to hear that your experience was a bad one but I hope you are happy with your ride.

Glad to hear you went directly to the dealer. I was buying my vehicle from Canada which put another wrinkle into the works. U.S. Lexus dealers were directed not to sell to Canadians! But at the end of the day, I took possession of my new ride and it's definitely a beauty, both from a performance and luxury perspective. I ended up with the Savannah metallic color because my first choice, the red color, can't remember the name, only came from Japan and that would have ended costing me an additional $2,400 because of the duty charge. I ended saving about $13,000 over the Canadian price. The savings would have been over $20,000 but the Canadian Lexus dealers dropped their prices on the RX models by about $8K just when I took possession. The stress of the whole purchasing process is a great way to lose weight. Bob

Is your car still covered by US warranty? My next door neighbor bought a 1-mo old Nissan Altima from a Nissan dealer, that was originally sold in Cananda. His card did not have US warranty.

Lexus claims that their warranty is fully transferrable and is valid throughout North America. I contacted both Lexus USA and Lexus Canada to confirm that. Interestingly my email from Lexus Canada said that since I bought the car in the US, a local Canadian dealer may choose not to provide services such as an oil change, since they are independent dealers. They would however, be obligated to provide services which are covered under warranty. Obviously they might resent the fact that I saved a lot of money buying the same vehicle elsewhere. Where I live, there's only 1 Lexus dealership within easy driving distance. The next nearest one is owned by the same company as the first.
