Default RX 2010 Audio Volume Versus Nav Voice Volume R

How do I setup the system so the volume of the radio/CD or MP3 decreases when the navigation voice comes on, so I can hear the instructions?

I believe my RX 300 2005 had this feature, so I could hear the nav instructions even though I was listening to the radio.

Thanks,
Wes

I believe this was discussed several weeks ago and I don't remember the final outcome. You bring up a good question. I also tried to reduce the radio, etc. volume while the Nav lady spouts out instructions for your destination and I could not do it. I have this funny feeling that it may not be possible. I'm sure that someone else on this forum will help us out.

I believe new RX had this feature. I did change it on my RX. Read manuel or search setup.

I have the same question. Seems the radio goes off for phone calls but not directions ??? And the setup didn't have a 'cutoff' option to listen to the nice long haired brunette telling you where to turn. What's up with that ???

Try turning the volume down/up when the nav voice is speaking or you're on the phone.

Obviously one can do that, but this should be automated. The volume from the radio should be reduced as soon as there is a message from the "good looking lady".

Default Radio volume Vs Nav Volume

I agree that the Radio volume should automatically reduce at least by half in order to hear the Nav directions. I have an 06 Acura TL and it automatically does it. My wifes RX should do the same
